The fastest outlaw to date is coming up this weekend in Oklahoma. It is an invite only event with rippers driving in from out of state. Part of the entry fees are going to Jason who was seriously injured during the filming of the promo. Jason Machado is always charging so hard, this run is just an example of that. Kavon busted out an insanely sick edit tracking Jason’s speed down the run (link at the bottom). We were all hitting mid to upper 40’s when Jason decided to do a run by himself. I have him the GPS and he pulled a 50.3mph run. The fastest section being the third turn (a lefty). He is ripping on the new BC Longboards Torpedo. Props to GHoov for ripping as the follow driver.
Today was more fun than usual at a local spot. With close to 20mph tail winds and rain on and off it made for some patchy pavement. The corner that is usually all grip was fun with a tiny predrift. Core Low Life.
So stoked on getting in my first publication, it also happens to be a rad-as German mag, 40inch Longboard Magazine. They don’t ship to the U.S. and were kind enough to send me one anyways for free! Huge thanks to REY Trucks for using one of Erick Barrandey’s sick photos from a local night race. I’m also riding the BC Longboards Torpedo. Make sure to go check them out, a whole new lineup for 2013.
Thanks again to BC Longboards for helping us get pagan’d out at BBDH 2012. The team loaded up a van and headed out from Oklahoma City to Golden. Freeride day was super hectic with people foot-braking into corners and people laying in the gooch as you come around to predrift. It was definitely worth the 11hr car ride to get there. The Oklahoma/Texas runs were too rad. I can’t wait for next year. RACE DAY: www.vimeo.com/50883067
