2012 Compilation – Episode 2

2012 was an epic year for the Oklahoma longboard scene, quite a few local races and many, many skate trips. We don’t have many long and fast local spots so we travel deep into NoCoast territory to find faster runs. Episode 2 focus’ on our travels , ending with our trip to Buffalo Bill Downhill. Jason Machado & Matt Ewalt ripping some perfect pave. This run spooked the other homies having never hit it before & with the bumps that were built in all the way down the middle lane. With multiple tight corners, a bad line could ruin your day.

After a couple of hectic days back in the mountains, we decided to spend our last day at a favorite spot first found on the last trip. Its about a four minute drop, with one predrift and plenty of corners to rip through 7 deep. Thanks again to Matt Ewalt and the awesome hospitality. We cant wait to come back soon. We were able to sneak one last trip in out east before winter comes in. With a sick new roof rack on the zoot car we were able to fit two more homies with us. After a late start we didn’t get any skating in on Friday. Getting an early start the next day was a must. Get broke off with the Oklahoma crew in the mountains of Gnarkansas.

BOARDER CROSSINGS Ep 7

Remember ALWAYS skate within your limits. We were skating runs that were in the middle of no where, but we try to take every precaution including using signs and walkie talkies. We are always keeping each others safety in mind. Skate safe. As our trip wrapped up we had one more day to hit a few runs before heading back home. We decided on a couple of new spots that none of us had ever rode, including the locals. They turned out to be two sick spots, curvy & fast with a pre drift into a huge lefty hairpin. It was a perfect way to wrap up the trip. Thanks again to the locals for showing us a great time. We will definitely be back soon.
