Start your Tuesday off right. Check out what went down at the Chaos in the Country Outlaw. Thanks again to Matt Ewalt for organizing and hosting all of us in his home. All about those NoCoast outlaws.
We packed up the car and headed out from Oklahoma to our NoCoast neighbor, Arkansas, for a weekend of sick skating. We hit a local garage and sess’d a park before deciding we should go race down a local run. No money, no prizes, just rad skating with friends. Local Matt Ewalt, who was throwing the Chaos in the Country Outlaw the following day, helped to organize it and ended up winning at the Devil’s Spoke. There are always good times to be had in the Natural State. Stay tuned for the next episode featuring a fast outlaw with speeds over 50mph. **We used walkies to close the run down, always skate safe and within your limits.**
The podium shot from Devil’s Spoke, an unplanned outlaw we threw together the day before the Chaos in the Country Outlaw. It ended up being one of the most fun runs I’ve ever skated. Thanks again to Matt Ewalt for running the race and winning! The dude is a boss. Here are a couple of other screen grabs from the upcoming video as well.

Peeop a raw run of Jason Machado & Matt Ewalt ripping down a NoCoast classic. Stoked to hit it next week at the Chaos In The Country Outlaw, should be dope as mates!
The fastest outlaw to date is coming up this weekend in Oklahoma. It is an invite only event with rippers driving in from out of state. Part of the entry fees are going to Jason who was seriously injured during the filming of the promo. Jason Machado is always charging so hard, this run is just an example of that. Kavon busted out an insanely sick edit tracking Jason’s speed down the run (link at the bottom). We were all hitting mid to upper 40’s when Jason decided to do a run by himself. I have him the GPS and he pulled a 50.3mph run. The fastest section being the third turn (a lefty). He is ripping on the new BC Longboards Torpedo. Props to GHoov for ripping as the follow driver.

Today was more fun than usual at a local spot. With close to 20mph tail winds and rain on and off it made for some patchy pavement. The corner that is usually all grip was fun with a tiny predrift. Core Low Life.

2012 was an epic year for the Oklahoma longboard scene, quite a few local races and many, many skate trips. We don’t have many long and fast local spots so we travel deep into NoCoast territory to find faster runs. Episode 2 focus’ on our travels , ending with our trip to Buffalo Bill Downhill. Our sponsors make these trips possible, thanks to www.bclongboards.com, www.coreextremesports.com, www.reytrucks.com, asl, metro wheels, www.bombsquadlongboarding.com, www.buckskatetrucks.com, www.krlongboarding.tumblr.com
Go skate!
This weekend we had over over 40 riders from three different states come to Oklahoma for our Groundhog Day Outlaw. Our first spot got blown, but the second worked out even better. With 6 man heats in the first three rounds every run was hectic. There will be a full race report on Thane Mag this week.
